Celebration

We got going a bit quicker than yesterday today but I had determined that I didn't really have a great deal of work that couldn't wait. So, a walk around the block for Bailey and then home to make birthday cake / pudding for the bestest friend. There's a clue in the shot to one of the ingredients and it certainly makes a good chocolate cake. 

A trip out for other birthday related shopping before a late lunch and an afternoon read and lie down. And then we headed around the corner for an evening-before-the-actual-birthday in the beautiful new kitchen and dining room. Lovely lasagne appreciated by all of us, including Bailey who had thirds. A gentle end to the weekend and an early-ish night in the hope that the cold will die a death this week.
