the sun has gone. Back to torrential rain.
This is H's orchid on the windowsill, we've had it years now, luckily it seems to thrive on neglect. She's a happy girl tonight as her teacher has chosen her name to go in the Gold Book, for her fantastic manners, effort and commitment to every task, and for being a pleasure to teach. Shame the school didn't bother letting me know as it should've done,and I missed attending the assembly :-(

Story night at school tonight for H, they're supposed to be going back in pj's and having stories and toasting marshmallows around the campfire in the forest school. I think from the sound of the rain they'll be stuck inside, what a disappointment that will be. Fingers crossed it might stop by 6pm.
