Too wet perhaps ?
9.2C and a much better day with lots of brightness and blue sky.
Apothecary7 has gone on a solo trip to see her mum so Maeve the Deerhound and I slipped back into our usual routine and went out for our walk after lunch. Since it was so wet yesterday we decided the field would be too soggy and just walked straight down the road to the shore. As we walked along we could see a tractor with a plough in the field that runs along this side of the shore road.
When we got to the cycle path we walked along to the gate that takes us through the field the sheep were in. Curiosity got the better of me and I crossed back over the road and watched the tractor and plough. There was a small group of men walking about and talking. My guess is that they were discussing whether the ground was too wet for ploughing. Maeve showed no interest in the proceedings. We decided to leave them to it and went over the railway line and down onto the beach.
The tide was about halfway in (or halfway out if you prefer). The sand was deep and there were lots of stones and shells. The sea must have been quite active since we were last on the beach. Not so much seaweed though. Two people on the beach with a little Cocker Spaniel. We see them once or twice a week. They never say hello, but the spaniel seems to be a jolly little chap who likes to wander along the sand.
We wandered about at the Fishermen's huts. No one was there. 'Valhalla VI' was on its trailer and sitting at the bottom of one of the gaps in the dunes facing up towards the huts. It was good to be back down at the beach.
Later Apothecary7 will come back home and Maeve will bounce around the house with joy :-)
