Brambles can be Delicate.
After a wild night of heavy rain and wind gusts of 75 mph which left the Island with flooding and power cuts the day dawned fine with not a breath of wind.
In the forest most of the leaves had blown off the trees with only a few hardy survivors remaining. Some welcome sun filtered through the branches giving a lovely soft light.
We are now on a yellow alert as another deep depression is to track north over the South Coast bringing further torrential rain and gales during the weekend. Let's hope it will not be as bad as forecast particularly for those all over the country who are already suffering severe flooding and disruption.
