Yup, one of THOSE Mondays...
Remember our next door renovations that lasted 4 months, never was finished as the contractor run with the money and run over the lady of the house with his car door? They had built an extra floor / room right in front of our big window which has double floor space for the rest of. Well, today they took it down. Apparently City Hall said no to this innovation and if they want to get their house certified they need to get rid of. As you recently learned that we have no noise insulation, you perhaps can imagine the noise we've had to live with today. Hammering bricks and concrete away for 5 hours. 2 hours I spent outside with Buddha as he was so scared.
I can't tell you how fed up with this I am. How angry I am about all this. They built it, had to take some down because it was not done good enough, done again and today taken down. All that noise and dust for nothing. If they just had asked for permission right from the start (they would have been denied) this would never had happened. The neighbor hasn't said anything to us about the noise or anything else. In the beginning we were told that this will be all over at the end of May. Hello! It's October!
So in the noise I made a salty pie and some pulla and this time it was better, but still not perfect.
If they start the construction again after they get their paperwork I will go to City Hall and complain about the noise. It's definitely over healthy lever. And the whole situation is completely insane.
Hubby tried to work all day in that noise... I think we are both exhausted after all the noise. It just wears one down. Terrible.
Alicante and Cabezon de Oro mountain in the picture from Clot de Galvany. Needed to get away from the house this afternoon. Couldn't just wait if it starts again or not. There are two hawks in the picture. They were circling around.
