Red Squirrel

A wildlife hide has been built in the forest near the David Marshall Lodge at Aberfoyle and one of its main purposes is to allow viewing of red squirrrels. We were lucky enough to catch sight of a couple today but a combination of poor light and the distance away meant that I only got this rather dim shot which is not the best. It was good to know though that there are squirrels around and the area round the hide is also equipped with lots of bird feeders which were very popular today with a wide range of birds.
