Aberdeen Sunset
Busy, but very successful day in work.
The students delivered work of exceptional quality,
So all praise to them.
I realised the light was going down fast and I would not make it over the threshold before dark. I have become fed up with shopping centre shots so I took a five minute break and headed for the roof.
The windows were rather dirty to say the least and reflecting the internal lights,
but I think this is a passable shot.
We will just call it soft focus.
The tower in the foreground is the "Auld Hoose" of Robert Gordon's College.
Started in 1690 but not opened for education until 1750.
This delay was due to the government of the day, requisitioning the building for Cumberland's soldiers. They were billeted here during the Jacobite rebellion and the damage subsequently caused, required restitution and repairs to be made.
