What a Catch!
I woke up quite early this morning so I decided to get up and go to the marina to take some sunrise shots, and I wasn’t disappointed, it was beautiful.
Blip in the bag, I wandered back along the boardwalk and I spotted this Cormorant ducking and diving, and then it appeared with the biggest eel I’ve seen! It went through a whole process of dropping it in the water, catching it again and shaking it before it finally swallowed it whole! I set my camera onto continuous burst after I’d taken this shot, but somehow I knocked the Aperture setting so all the other photos are blurred. I was gutted as I’m sure there’d have been a really good set, but at least I have a few decent ones, and this had to be my Blip as it’s not a sight you see very often.
I drove home, had breakfast and then went for a swim in the outdoor pool. The weather’s fabulous again, and I can’t believe it’s nearly the middle of October and I’m still swimming outside!
Home for lunch, and I’m now on the bus on my way to work hope you’re having a good day!
