Kootenai Trail & Falls

Off camping and hiking the Kootenai-Yaak Rivers in Northwest Montana is a delight because the waters are still so big; not the shrunken rivers of autumn you'll find elsewhere. The trail is narrow, rocky and hemmed in by huge trees, but once you reach the falls, it's worth it. Hiking downstream, there is a suspended bridge that crosses the river. It's nice and bouncy. A trot across will make a ripple effect that's kind of cool!
I will never grow up.

I've taken a bit of a hiatus on blip and other social media to wander the roads and reflect on the loss of 2 friends....one life-long, the other a mere 40 year friendship. Camping in the woods has brought new vigor and insights. I will try to catch up with you all.
