Lunch by the river
My Stratford lunch stop today was carpenters lock by the Olympic stadium where the river Lea and City Mill river meet. The lock area is still being restored as part of the games legacy. It has a unique "double radial" gate and was built to prevent flooding in 1934.
A lovely sunny day and I would have been quite happy to have stayed and relaxed for longer than 20 minutes.
