Tufted Drake.
Katkatkat had an appointment in Leith so Clickychick and I drove her out there and went for a walk along the Water of Leith. We haven't walked much of the path and none in this area.
The path turned out to be quite picturesque apart from the inevitable graffiti on any available wall. What goes through the brain of these people? For me another point of interest were the waterfowl. A pair of swans with a good brood of six cygnets. One of the adults had a darvic colour ring so that will be interesting when I get the results back. I settled on this not too good photo as it is unusual in my experience for a Tuftie to be tame enough to comes close.
After lunch it was time to leave, well late afternoon anyway. A trouble free run down with the disappointment that Annadale Water services had only McDonalds providing hot food at 5:00 on a Sunday. We decided to press on stopping at Gretna Services.
