The Adriatic Sea

I ticked off paddling in a new sea today. Visited the Adriatic at Ortona in Abruzzo. This was the location for a heroic action by a Canadian regiment in late 1943 who took the port from the Germans after prolonged House to House fighting.
Today it was the location of some warm sunshine, excellent coffee and patisserie before a walk on the beach at Lido Riccio.
