The Royal Shakespeare Theatre
After an easy run from Peterborough to Stratford-upon-Avon, we had a more tortuous drive through the back streets of the town to find our holiday home. By the time we'd unpacked and were ready to walk round the town it was already dusk with a flat grey sky so not great for photography.
Nevertheless we had an interesting walk round the town, getting our bearings, meeting many swans and seeing some of the sights, the most impressive (but not beautiful) of which was the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. We ended up in a very friendly local hostelry for a couple of pre-prandial drinks before heading back for a meal of home-cooked goulash followed by lemon and lime drizzle cake, having resisted the temptation of pub food.
