Something Special

Today was one of those days that everyone experiences at least once a year!!!

After doing hundreds...and I mean hundreds...of chores so GK could tick them off her list...we then headed down to Dubai's most prestigious waterfront and boarded her most prestigious Dinner Dhow for an evening cruise along the creek.

What amazing contrasting sights there are to feast your eyes upon.

Ancient mariners with wooden "abras" ply waterways with state of the art fibreglass speedboats, vintage coral buildings hug shorelines with fashionably modern office blocks, Arabian traditional villas nestle in beside renovated Venetian wannabee's and fairylit dinner dhows become overshadowed by the glitz and glamour of cruise ships anchored out at bay!!

All this aside; the weather was absolutely perfect and as the gentle waves lapped the ancient teak wood bow, memories went far deeper than the transient images of the moment.

Good food, good company and a good, good Lord who has graciously given to me, the gift of another year. Love you Lord.
