Last of the Summer
I had a day off work today! I'd been due to go to a meeting in London but it was reduced to a one hour teleconference. Seeing the good weather forecast (and the less good one for the weekend), I thought I would take the day off and just call into the teleconference for an hour or so.
I have had a lovely day. I've been digging at the allotment again and have managed to finish digging the herb bed which I started at the weekend. It was hard work but it feels good to have done it. Whilst I was there my yoga teacher's partner popped over to say 'hello' and offer me a butternut squash. I gladly accepted her offer as Andy and I both like it roasted or made into soup.
As we thought this may be the last time we experience 21 degree centigrade and sunshine for several months, Andy and I took in the last of the sun with a dog walk. Unusually we had the whole field to ourselves. It was so peaceful and pretty. The pink in the sky and the birds flying overhead, the grasses now brown and yellow.
I'm off to yoga tonight, which I am pleased about as I am hoping it will help my sore legs - I seem to have short hamstring muscles so when I dig, it makes them sore. Hopefully I'll have time for a bath afterwards too.
Hoping you have had a good day and that the sun has shined for you too.
