Waiting her Turn

I have been to this garden so often in the past two weeks, that my car can drive itself.  Well almost.  I had one more chance today before heading out for the weekend.  I am guaranteed to find butterflies, bees, birds and spectacular dahlias here.  I have never seen so many monarchs in one place.  One of the garden workers commented today that even they are amazed by the activity around a flower she identified as a Mexican Sunflower.  I would say if you want to attract monarchs, that is the plant (along with milkweed of course) to have.  They also like this orange dahlia.  It wasn't unusual to find more than one butterfly on a bloom.
