Tiny Tuesday .....

We had another wonderful day .... spent in each other's company!

We decided to go to Asheville, NC this morning to go to the WNC Nature Center.  We had been there years ago and remembered that it was a very nice nature center .... or zoo. 

It's not really huge so we were able to walk the grounds and see all the animals (including this Timber Rattlesnake) in about 2 hours.  It was lovely.  I have added an extra of just some of the animals that we saw.  My favorites are the cougar (center), the bobcat (upper left) and the coyote (lower left).  The coyote reminds of a good friend and blipper's beautiful dog Piper.

After leaving the zoo we drove over to the North Carolina Arboretum but we didn't go in as the parking fee was way too much!  And I was already tired from walking through the zoo!

We then did some shopping in Asheville before returning to our condo. Usually we would be in for the night but we decided to go back to the Flowering Bridge in Lake Lure proper.  This flowering bridge is loaded with beautiful flowers that attach all kinds of butterflies. 

But it's also lit up at night .... which we wanted to see.  And we weren't disappointed!  It was gorgeous!
