The golden ash

This is one of my favourite ash trees, proudly positioned on a slight knoll in Old Sulehay Quarry. At this time of year it turns a beautiful clear yellow, which contrasted perfectly against today's cloudless blue sky, which was accompanied by unseasonably high temperatures - the hottest October day for seven years!
