Panel 38 - Border Reivers and Kinmont Willie

This is the time of year when the Border Reivers were very busy riding and raiding. Smailholm Group's reivers are not quite ready for action, but they're coming on well with Sally Scott Aiton's work on the first helmet. The helmets take up a large area of the panel, and are a lot of work. Sally has still a bit to do, including adding some stranded cotton and metallic grey thread to give a glint to the metal, but it's looking very promising and creating a appropriately menacing look. Meantime Derrick has taken the panel back to continue creating Kinmont Willie's Pringle jersey.

We're taking the panel off the frame in 10 days or so, will post a picture then of the whole panel to date.
