Life through the lens...

By ValC

High and dry.

Woke to dull skies, but by 9am the sun was shining, and the sky was again clear blue.
We said our goodbyes after yet another superb breakfast.
Then into Holt to pick up some partridges to bring home.

A drive along the coastal road through Wells- next - the - sea, where several hundred geese flew over. All calling to one another, and as if saying “ goodbye” to us.

Next Brancaster Staithe where we stopped for a crab sandwich from the seafood hut.
We usually stop here for half an hour or so to watch the wading birds feeding on the mud as the tide goes out.
Today there was too much going on and the harbour was blocked off.
A huge crane was loading boats on to various trailers. The end of the season.
However it did provide me with a blip for today.
( extras of an egret and the view out to sea.)

Then it was on to Gurneys to buy a kilo of Brancaster mussels. The best!

Still sunny and 24C.
Very sorry to leave. Look forward to returning next year.

Home and still feels warm, although dull and 19C.

Back to normal tomorrow!

Thank you all for following our little holiday and your kind comments, stars and hearts.
Gradually getting round to all your journals.
