A Fairy Tale
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there was a magical shop where shiny, precious jewels were displayed and beautiful minerals and crystals sparkled every day.
The owner of the shop, a kind lady with silver hair and magical fingers, decided one day to bestow a wonderful gift on the nice people of the town. So, with the help of her trusty goblin, she put on a sale!
Now the lovely people of Penrith could own the sparkle at a fraction of the cost!
Their wishes were granted!
Merry Christmas and may all your dreams come true!
-Jennie Ferguson.
My trusty goblin was amused by yesterday's blip and willingly hoovered up the mess. She also went out at lunchtime and chose me a fairy for our Christmas window. The theme for this year's window dressing competition is "Fairy Tale" On reading them up, they're not Christmassy and a lot of them would need a PG classification if they were shown on the media.
I decided to make the shop, itself, the fairy tale. Here nobody gets stabbed by shards of glass, nobody wearing red gets frightened by wild animals, nobody risks having their heart cut out and nobody loses their shoes.(Well, except for LA who recently came back looking for her sandals!)
Jennie came up with the story.
