Interminable Grayness
The cold weather is back, but no new snow. We had a bit of a thaw and the 2 feet (60cm) of snow on the ground has receded to about 1 foot (30cm), but it's gritty, dirty, sandy, and speckled. Not the nice beautiful snow we had at the beginning of the season. I don't usually mind the snow, and I can handle the cold; it's just these gray days that make winter seem interminable.
