This oystercatcher looks as if he's whispering sweet nothings in the seal's ear.

I've joined Dumbledorian, Kiwilizzie and their Mum on a jaunt to Kaikoura. We stopped at The Store at Kekerengu for lunch, and also stopped at Ohau Point to check out the sea life. We walked up to the waterfall to see if there were any seals in the pool. There weren't when we got there but two arrived just as I was about to leave. They had a wonderful time showing off for us but my photos of them were disappointing.

This un-matched pair were at the river mouth enjoying the sun.

Whale watching tomorrow! I'm really excited about it as I've never been before.
