Fuchsia

A wild night, actually early morning,  as Callum lashed outside - gales, lightning, thunder and a ton of rain, as though someone was chucking large bucketfuls at the window. Wet and windy for most of the day but I have just had a dash around the circuit  - no serious damage just twigs and branches and masses of leaves. 

We're shortly going to skype son#2 - not only have the pair of them just had a baby (Esme is now two weeks old :)) but they have just moved house. Even more exciting - it's their house, the joy of a mortgage and everything! Not only that they have moved from the tip of North Island, New Zealand to the top of South Island, Takaka to be precise. Actually there are two houses - the second being a wooden one they want to do up and let out for airbnb - before Christmas! Talk about all happening at once. It looks amazing but not only will I have to gird my loins and face a seriously long couple of flights to get there but there might be a ferry as well! Aaarrgh!
