Flowery welcome

A colourful tub of flowers was at the doorway of the pub where I had lunch today. The warm October weather has obviously kept it looking fresh. I was there for the regular lunch with old WI friends. I took with me some old photos, some up to thirty years old, and they enjoyed reminiscing, and trying to name everybody. We used to have such fun together, and wondered whether the current team enjoy themselves as much.
One of the party needed a lift home, and as she lives in completely the opposite direction from me, it was a long detour. I enjoyed driving through the Surrey lanes but was weary after this one and a half hour detour.
