A day of non-stop heavy rain. 

I drove to the local shops but couldn't get parked so carried on to the garden centre for a browse (and a blip) before returning home.

After lunch a drive to Booths in Windermere ......... their car park was almost full.  Spent twice as much as I would have done in Ambleside ....... only because I bought things that weren't on the list. Forgot the milk ....... again. 

Lots of puddles on the roads in both directions and back in Ambleside there were streams flowing across roads and water gushing up through drain covers.
