Fashion Avenue #2

We met up with Patrick today, after what feels like ages! G had a very early morning meeting at school, so I got an Uber to the cafe where we met. My driver was instantly recognisable as a fellow countryman, but he hasn't been out in the international community, so the conversation was strained at times, especially when he asked me, "What kind of a Pakistani are you?" I told him, "a very good one!". I'm glad the ride came to an end shortly after.

Patrick had a meeting in Dubai Mall straight after, so as it was on our way home, we gave him a ride. We also had a bit of time, so gave him a tour of the newly opened Fashion Avenue. He was impressed, but one can't help wondering about why have a place like this totally dedicated to extreme luxury.

Back home for some lunch and to make some calls... G setup her online lesson all on her own today and didn't need any help at all. Result!
