An Ode to Equilibrium

Imagine Earth a bit further from the sun
Or closer when all was said and done.
Imagine two moons instead of one
Or even if there were none.
Imagine Saturn or Jupiter placed next to the sun
How would that affect our orbit’s run?
If our planet took 400 days
Instead of our yearly orbital ways
How would that affect our evolution?
Would we even be human?
The balance we are blessed with cannot be happenstance
Too many wondrous factors did not come by chance.
God Almighty placed the world in his hands
And we’re mighty grateful for the Earth as it stands.
