Floods and an Indian Summer

The west of the UK has been having the most awful weather, with the worst flooding in Wales in 30 years and one unfortunate person killed. In North Norfolk bizarrely we've been having an Indian Summer, although it has been windy.

I was trying to clear up the side garden a bit today after the landscaping work in the main garden and was also doing a lot of digging (it was rotovated, but I think that just meant taking the machine for a walk round the garden!!!). It was very tough going with the lack of rain we've had since May, the full sun and a temperature mid afternoon of 24.8C (it's still 19.9C at 10pm). The weather tomorrow is forecast to be completely different with temperatures much lower and lots of rain. I don't see how anyone can dispute that the weird world weather is due to climate change and that we all need to do what we can to stop the average temperatures rising higher than 1.5C.

P.S. The bird food shop owner was telling me this morning that he thinks our lack of rain this Summer will mean lots of snow this winter - I hope not.
