Heaven

Again, this is last night, but I want this to be a recorded companion to yesterday as it is the milky way from another spot.  We thought we’d walk west to the power station where there is a view of Saltspring Is, thinking it not a good idea to climb too far in the dark in spite of using the tripod as a walking stick.   H came with me this time..on an almost balmy clear night.. Well I didn’t think there would be a light on the power station  (extra)  and also the moon was a bit later in setting and a little bigger …so 2 problem lights we didn’t need there.   But we saw lots of shooting stars!  Tried to catch one in my 15 second shoots but this is the only one that came close.  We had climbed to the back of the power station and it’s light but of course were under the power lines.  That is the moon behind the trees...about 17%.   But it’s a different view…..less successful....and I’ll not be trying again for quite awhile.

Lovely day… went to Galiano marina to get gas for the boat (only open 10-12 saturdays) and also to shop for the week at the Daystar Market including some limes for H’s birthday pie tomorrow! (other extra)
