Polish School of Medicine

The building in which I work used to house the Medical School of the University and there are several old photos in the main entrance area celebrating the history of this. Here's a blip of one which I like because of the expressions of the students. The tutor clearly has their attention!

On 24th February 1941 a formal decree was issued by the President of the Polish Republic to institute the Polish School of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. The School taught the Polish medical curriculum in Edinburgh hospitals and lecture theatres, and by its closing in 1948, had admitted 337 students.
