Trains and more trains
What to do on a wet and miserable Sunday morning? Go and see a lot of model trains, that's what. The Great Electric Train Show was being held at MK Arena this weekend, with 32 different layouts to view. There were some great layouts, and my favourite was one based on the line along the coast from Middlesbrough to Whitby (an area I know well) which closed in the 1950's, complete with accurate models of three of the viaducts along the line. This one was based on Bewdley on the Severn Valley Railway between 1958-69, and I've added some extra of some of the other layouts. A very pleasant way to spend a wet few hours.
