On the way to Petra

We had a long drive today from Amman to Petra. En route we stopped for coffee at a little known branch of Aldi.

The extra was taken on the battlements of Kerak, a 12th century crusader castle. In the surrounding valleys and wadis El Lawrence mortared his way along the road north, using German launchers captured from the Turks.
