Motorway and an awful journey with torrential rain for much of the way. We would have liked to have cut through the Peak District but with the weather as it was it didn't seem to be worth the extra time it would have added to the journey. I'm not used to being co-driver on these journeys so once the rain cleared, it was fun to fiddle with my phone trying for pictures. I like this one with a nice sky and the composition compressed within the motorway bridge.

When we arrived at the hotel on Friday we were pleased to be upgraded to suite. It made for a comfortable stay. We realised the catch after we left the reception last night. Our room was directly above the function room so there was a lot of boom-boom until the disco finished at midnight.
