False Spring
We've had a warm spell for the past few days, and most of our 12-15 inches of snow has disappeared. There are still huge piles here and there, especially in parking lots, but they will probably melt away tomorrow when we are to get rain with a high temperature of over 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
It was way too muddy to walk Gulliver in the park, so we went to Headlands Beach instead. Bob walked Gully while I blipped. In the picture you can see that there is a lot of open water now. When the weather turns cold again, and the winds blow across Lake Erie from Canada, they will pick up moisture from the open water, and we will get more snow. Last year our heaviest snowfall, 15-18 inches, fell on March 8-9. It's warm today, but it's a false Spring. Winter is far from over.
