Scarlet Waxcap

Today I went on my very first organised fungal foray, with a Ranger from Leeds City Council. It was very interesting although, ironically, the Ranger was no expert at identification. So it was back to my growing number of books and internet sites for the ID struggle! Never mind, he gave us a free spotters guide, and the group were nice (but mostly very young!)
