Reflections, sunrise
I no longer sound like I'm on the brink of death.
The last time I was this sick my dog had died. I got sick. I stayed sick. I saw the doctor twice. I took loads of different antibiotics. I stayed sick. I finally gave up and decided I would sound like that forever. Months and months went by. We finally made arrangements to get a new dog and magically I was well.
Rob, I'm so sorry.
I tried to persuade people I sounded like Suzanne Pleshette and it was sexy. No one remembered who she was (yes, I needed new friends) and no one agreed it was sexy.
I bet by the end of next week I'll sound fine.
The extra is from the last morning when we got up early to climb the mountain and see the sunrise.
I felt awkward talking about my trip when I returned since everyone was triggered by the Kavanaugh hearings. My friends asked me to talk about it. They said they needed to hear about people having adventures, doing wonderful things, standing on mountaintops.
