Gentle Colors in the October Woods

Our big travel adventure of the weekend was on Friday, but for the rest of the weekend, we were mostly homebodies. With the drop in temperature, it was time to do some things around the house, including removing one of the window air conditioners. One of these days, I need to vacuum all of the heater vents, for it is time to turn on some heat!

So we stayed in and did things like cooking breakfast. And lunch. And dinner. And cinnamon rolls with extra icing for an evening snack. Does cooler weather make anybody else super-hungry? It sure does for me!

On Sunday, we took a short hike into the local gamelands, a place I haven't been in a while. This might be the greenest October I can remember. But there are some pretty golds scattered throughout, brightening things up. I took a few photos and the colors seemed very gentle in them.
