Apples and Art

Another lovely sunny and mild day today, with not a breath of wind!  More like this please:-)

We picked 24 kilos of eating apples this morning and took them to the Cairn o'Mohr Winery in Errol.  We discovered they would have accepted many of the ones we discarded because they weren't perfect, so we'll know next time!  After a very nice lunch in their café, we put our apple voucher (20p per kilo) towards a bottle of apple juice and another of wine.  Looking forward to sampling both.

We drove on to Dundee to pay our first visit to the V&A and took this shot as we approached it along the coastal path from where we had parked our car.  We got right up to the lovely ornate railings before discovering there was no access to the Museum, so had to retrace our steps a bit!

The outside is a photographer's dream on a day like this, with beautiful angles and reflections everywhere.  I loved it!  Not quite so keen on the inside, which seems very messy with the addition of the café and shop and all those people in the one huge space:-)  No queues outside today, but we waited for just a few minutes to go in to the Scottish Design Exhibition.  What I could see of it was very nice, but some of it was too gloomy for my poor vision.  A few more lights would be good!

There was no way we were going to pay £10 (concession rate - £12 for adults) to see the Liners exhibition, having seen quite a lot of it on TV already and, not surprisingly, there was no queue at all for that!

A lovely walk back to the car in the late sunshine, with the Tay like a blue millpond.  You don't often see it like that:-) A few more shots in Extras.
