Manchestaaaaaaaaa!
What a fab day in Mancs!
I had quite the journey from Blackpool to Mancs....the joys of public transport. Had to get a replacement bus service that turned (what would have been) a 40min train journey into a 2.5hr ride.
We British are so poilite, we are prepared to suffer rather than speak out. I sat at the back where the heat whooshing out from the grate behind me became so unbearable that I had to deflect it away from burning my neck with my coat (see extras.). Eventually, it got too much and I made my apologies as I waded past elbows to the front of the bus to ask the driver to turn the heating off. He promptly obliged and I went back to my seat to a faint chorus of thank you’s from other melting passengers. Quite why they didn’t ask themselves is beyond me!
Anyway, I met my bezzie from that London, a friend who’d travelled from Cardiff and another that’d travelled from The Wirral. After some exciting shopping (well it was exciting for me coz I went to buy a pair of jeans and came out with two pairs, some tops and a couple of Xmas tops (literally Xmas designs on them!). Then we all had dinner and went off to see one of our favourite bands, Turin Brakes.
I stayed overnight with the Cardiff lass and went back home Sunday. We sat in the hotel bar in the wee small hours, me in the herbal tea and water, her on the beer - dunno how’s she does it, she was sober as a judge! Fab-lous, as the Welsh would say.
Pics in extras. Oh and the profile pic for today was what I saw on a train - sounded like a good motto in life....!
