inspired by vintage pens
Alan Lloyd certainly is. You can see some of his collection in a glass showcase down a very narrow alleyway in Stramongate. You have to be of a certain age to remember handwriting lessons with a pen. The ink monitor gave out the inkwells newly filled with blue ink. Handwriting exercise books were handed out, and, blotting paper at the ready, we began to copy what was on the blackboard.
My pen never behaved itself. The ink always got itself on my fingers, and, worse than that, being a left hander, I would look back at a line of painfully crafted lettering only to discover I had smudged every letter with the side of my hand!
Thank goodness for the invention of the biro!
