Waxwing

We watched a flock of waxwings landing on the birchtree outside the kitchen window doing their acrobatics, what brilliant birds, and I had never seen one before. Something startled them and they suddenly flew off.....
one unfortunately straight into the window, it died instantly, what a terrible shame! It gave us a chance to admire it from close up, (after my daughter stopped crying), can't believe they came to visit in the middle of town!
