At home: Break in the rain x

Its rained pretty much constantly for the best part of the week now. The forecast is getting worse, not better. The ground is full of water. The river has burst its banks this afternoon, flood waters filling the surrounding fields and properties. This is will be tomorrows blip I'm sure, if we can get out.

Andrew, who is visiting from up north has never seen anything like it. Today, like most other days he has helped manage the flood damage. Its a routine now. Spend half the day in water proof over clothes and head in for a cuppa when you look like your winning outside.

Winning is temporary. The cellar is refilling. Chickens ground is awash. The ground is full of water. Horses moved again. The weather forecast: heavy rain.
