Stroopwafel

Part of a generous parcel of food from our family visitors from the Netherlands was a packet of gluten free (vrij van gluten) stroopwafels. I'm very happy to be able to join in the Dutch tradition of placing the stroopwafel over a cup of coffee to let the syrupy middle warm up, soften and start to melt. Blipping very early today. This morning I'm going on a kilt hunt with my great nephew and then I have to take the visitors to Edinburgh so they can start their journey home. We're really going to miss them. However, it's the Tuesday sleepover with the three year old so we won't be bereft for long.
