Comic Art

I had a quick visit to the Comic Art Festival in Kendal at the weekend; I didn't understand a lot of it, but I did admire the exhibition called Traces of the Great War with illustrations of a poem by Simon Armitage. Today I went to the Brewery to see the remaining exhibitions, including Hunt Emerson's cartoons of The Bloke's Progress, bringing the work of Ruskin up to date, and this picture entitled Work, based on a picture by Ford Madox Brown.
