Beautiful statuary
Tuesday
Those of you who follow my journal may remember that our daughter Laura injured her foot back in July, and was forced to abort her scheduled hiking trip in the Caucasus mountains in Georgia, the day before she was due to leave on the trip. Ever since then she has been having a battle with her travel insurance to get her money back - they kept coming up with different excuses or things they needed, and she was getting so angry and frustrated! Well this morning, I had a very excited Laura on the phone, saying they’d sent her an e-mail informing her that they would be paying up! Mind you she’s not actually got the money yet! Fingers crossed!
This afternoon, Roger went for a bike ride, while I opted to go walking round Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum. It had been a while since I’d been, and I was eager for some different photographic subject matter. There was still little sign of Fall colour down there, which provides a beautiful backdrop for the statues, but they’re still quite beautiful, and the weather was a little better than the last few days, though still on the cool side.
