Pre-dawn Edinburgh airport - a long day

Up at 4:45am, drove to airport. Flight to Munich, only 50 minutes turnaround but all on time - applause to Lufthansa! Long flight to Charlotte, North Carolina. Then 2 hour drive on interstates, solo, in heavy rain. Eventually got satnav to work near end. All very stressful. Finally found AirBNB. Staggered out for meal - marinated steak (no taste of marinade), lukewarm "smashed" potatoes (no idea), gritty & burnt zucchini (courgette to me, still inedible), and a "biscuit" (day old, rock hard plain oversized scone). At least if you complain in American restaurants they do something about it. Lurch back to AirBNB, have now been up 21 hours - time for bed!
