Autumn in the National Cemetery
I went in...looking for two things. 1. Sand-hill cranes. (Didn't see any.) 2. Some Fall color amongst the headstones.
The tiny pumpkins caught my camera eye, and I backed up to shoot them. It wasn't until I put my telephoto lens on the headstone...that I saw it is the headstone of our friend Doug Johnson. "Dewey" passed in the fall of 2015.
He was a good man, and I think his family visits often.
