Dethatching

Part of our lawn has been causing us problems for the last year, so taking the bull by the horns (or the machine by the handles) we borrowed a dethatcher.  Here is Doug doing the deed, and what a mess it looks now. But, we have to be optimistic that with watering it will come away over coming weeks.  Once the dethatching was done he had to mow and mow again to collect all the dead dried grass..."sigh".  Thankfully its only this bank, the rest (and majority) is OK. 
Tonight he is totally pooped.
 
So warm today, that will make Gitama happy so hope this warmth will continue for her visit.
