Film time

I am in Auckland now and my husband and I strolled on the streets. Suddenly we, among many others, spotted something was going on. A table with wineglasses, three blasé persons at the table and a makeupartist fuzzing around, a lot of lights, screens, cameras and a lot of crew. A film recording? Are they famous? Should I be impressed?
